<p><p><b>Position : </b> Database Administrator (Postgres, MongoDB)<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 5 - 8 Years<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Noida<br/><br/><b>Employment Type : </b> Full-time</p><br/><p><b>Job Summary :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 58 years of experience, specializing in managing and optimizing heterogeneous database environments, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
This role is critical for ensuring the high performance, availability, sustainability, and security of all database systems.
The DBA will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of these platforms, including configuration, performance tuning, real-time troubleshooting, and establishing robust backup and disaster recovery plans.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><p><b>Database Operations and Maintenance :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Lead the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing administration of PostgreSQL and MongoDB database servers and associated processes.</p><p><br/>- Perform Database installation and continuously Monitor systems health and performance to ensure peak operational status.<br/><br/></p><p>- Execute routine Patch existing database servers to maintain security and functionality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct proactive Database maintenance and optimization activities, including setting and maintaining global database standards.</p><br/><p><b>Performance, Availability, and Troubleshooting : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Drive specialized Performance tuning and Performance monitoring initiatives to ensure high </p><p>levels of performance and low latency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real-time, demonstrating strong skills in Troubleshooting </p><p>and the ability to Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement and manage solutions for high availability and sustainability (e.g., replication, Backup, and Disaster Recovery : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Establish and enforce stringent Database security policies and manage granular database </p><p>access controls.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Oversee and execute all aspects of Backup and recovery procedures for both Postgres and MongoDB.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and manage comprehensive Disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity and minimize data loss.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement Auditing mechanisms to monitor Database usage and compliance.</p><br/><p><b>Automation and Data Management :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Develop and implement Automation tools and Create automation for repeating database tasks using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to enhance efficiency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support and execute Data migration activities between database systems or different : </b> Mandatory 58 years of experience as a Database Expertise (Mandatory) : </b> Deep technical expertise in administering and troubleshooting PostgreSQL and Skills : </b> Proven experience in database configuration, monitoring, patching, and & DR : </b> Strong practical experience in Backup and recovery and Disaster recovery : </b> Expertise in advanced Performance tuning and optimization techniques.</p></p><br/><p><b>Preferred Skills :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience in Database design principles and their application in both relational and NoSQL </p><p>models.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in writing scripts (Python, Bash) for database Automation and operational tasks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure DB).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
